Athletics play an important role in Aquinas Academy. The school campus includes an outdoor athletic field and a new multipurpose gymnasium, and is close to the North Park tennis courts.

Aquinas fields competitive teams for boys and girls in basketball, cross-country, field hockey, lacrosse, crew, and soccer. Students compete in the Pittsburgh Diocesan League, and the Western Pennsylvania Interschool Athletic League (WPIAL) among others.

During the 2009-2010 school year, an Aquinas student participated in WPIAL swimming.

We also offer a variety of intramural sports, including tennis, developmental soccer, and ultimate Frisbee.

In the winter, many students and families participate in the Aquinas ski club.
